Outreach to Esperanza Fire Victims

Karen Reimus, United Policyholders' Outreach Coordinator has sent a supply of free copies of the organization's recently published Disaster Recovery Handbook and Household Inventory Guide to victims of the recent fire that destroyed 34 homes and 20 outbuildings in the Cabazon region of Southern California (see http://cdfdata.fire.ca.gov/incidents/incidents_details_info?incident_id=161 for further statistics). Reimus is spearheading a Recovery Handbook Sponsorship program through which donors to United Policyholders can earmark funds for the purchase of the handbooks which are then made available for distribution to those in immediate need. Residents of the Scripps Ranch area in San Diego were the first to donate toward the Sponsorship program. Thanks to our donors' generosity and Karen's hard work, United Policyholders is able to get quick and direct recovery aid to the region.
